In the past 2 days...

  • Eric came back to socal for one night. We went to dinner with Trevor, Nate, and Sarah. I left the next day and so did he.
  • On a spur of the moment decision, I went to a little warehouse party with Rocco, Bruhners, Sun, and Mike + girls. Had a fun time but got a bit sick towards the end. Listened to excellent music on the way home, though, and that made everything so much better. Watched A Cross the Universe and then went home, passed out hard.
  • Got lunch (well, Jamba Juice) with those fellahs then watched a bunch of music videos while listening to Romborama.
  • Got a text from my dad saying that my grandfather had died.
  • Talked to Mateo for a bit.
  • Couldn't stop crying. Ended up driving over to the 70s House.
  • Josie and Katie got me sunflowers, a bunch of Hershey Kisses, and wine. Josie made me a really lovely tray of bacon (in a heart shape), avocado slices, and Kisses (also in a heart). It was seriously so lovely. They listened and hugged me and were just so fantastic to have there.
    Isn't it adorable?!
  • We ended up drinking a bunch of Grey Goose once Bryan, Charlie, Dave, Jacob, Shervin, etc. came. A lots of wine. And played Jenga. And cheersing to my grandfather, which made me feel wonderful that they were so kind about it.
  • Pascal made dinner and it was damn delicious.
  • Bryan drove me home and, on the way, he got me a blue slushie (my absolute favorite edible thing besides avocado). Not gonna lie, at that point, I almost cried because I feel all sorts of lucky to have such lovely friends.
  • I actually felt better, which I wasn't expecting (only because I generally don't feel better when I drink). Everybody was so supportive and just so sweet and caring...I am a lucky gal.
  • I didn't eat for around 32 hours between Friday afternoon and late last night, and so when I drank I got really drunk and felt super ill. And now I'm hungover as fuck and don't have anybody to cuddle with.
  • Also, considering how amazingly sunny and hot it is 99% of the time here, it's interesting that yesterday and today have been chilly and wet.

I feel lucky to have such awesome friends. And I feel hungry but I don't want to eat again. I just want my body to go into ketosis again and I won't eat until Hard Halloween so I can look fucking awesome in my costume and dance for 8 hours straight and then perhaps some more. This is all I want. That, and maybe the pack of cigarettes I left at their house last night.

I just dance the way I feel.

Game 23135

I left New York and moved into the Aspens in the same day (July 27th). Eric picked me up from the airport, we met up with Gina and her dad, and we moved some shit in. He left, Gina & her papa left, and I ended up with Greg, Wes, and Cam later that night, making toasts regarding coasts. Most of the rest of these two weeks have been sort of a blur.

The Saturday after moving in, we had a party of sorts for Justine, Gina's bffl from San Diego. A bunch of her friends came over (and were really lovely so I hope they come back again sometime) and so Cam & I went out to dinner with them. We were then joined by Adam, Cam, Greg, Steph, and Jesus. It was raaad and we realized that our downstairs neighbors are pretty chill considering nobody got upset at us for the dancing and (rather loudly) blasting electro. Overall, a solid night.

Jared and I hung out for a day which was lovely, though I think I overwhelmed him with people and sushi, haha. He helped me move, though, which was super nice of him and hopefully he returns to Ruby Woo (my temporary name for this here apartment, haha). Cam and I borrowed Dave's car and moved my bed/mattress/etc. stuff so I have, finally, entirely moved out of my old house. Finally.

Cam and I went to Haven and I got their fried chicken + waffle. Totally not worth $15...I would rather go to Roscoe's any day. Ever.

Anyways, photos.
I love love love looking at clouds. So much.

Team Movers ahoy.

O haiiii result of lots of carrying! I love our living room.

Mreow.

Cammy Cam after we went antique shopping.

Shooting up at Griffith Park with David, Sean, Wes, and Greg.

Oh, look...the Hollywood sign.

Classy.

Love love love this one of Gina.

Sassy-drunk.

Loved this crowd.

So fucking excellent.

$5 "dress."

Adam always wins, obviously.

Neppers doing his thing.

For Cam's "last night" (which wound up being second to last due to rideshare failure), we went to Haven and had a swell dinner. Well...minus hot sauce getting all over my waffle. Some combinations of random foods are great (like avocado + anything ever, ever, ever). Some, like hot sauce and waffle = no. Fuck no. Nevertheless, it was a nice night. I also got red velvet cake frozen yogurt at Cherry On Top...BOMB.

Anyways, it's been nice so far. I just want to relax. Uh, I daresay...I'm just trying to have a good time with my friends.

Bacon Cupcakes & Beyond

Doubtful.

However, this weekend was really goddamned good. It was one of the best I've had in CA.
  • Thursday, Chelsea and Taylor drove from IDAHO down to Orange. We got Cherry on Top with Heidi, went to a lingerie ("or less") party, got tipsy, and went back to the house to hang out more.
  • Friday - Nathan, Eric, and Elizabeth came over and Heidi, Taylor, Chelsea, and I made dinner for everyone. Anna came home, we all swam for a while and drank quite a bit. We all ate the tasty pancake, fruit, and bacon cupcake noms and it was a really good time. I may have burned a few pancakes, though...
  • That night, we went to Street Fair which was actually really fun despite the fact that I hate crowds 85% of the time. I am quite good at navigating through them, though, due to my hatred of them.
  • Post-street fair, everyone migrated over to Studio D (Greg/Mikey/Kristi/Steph's) and continued drinking and having a lovely night. A few people stayed over and the next morning, I was fucking wiped-out-sleepy.
  • Saturday - We woke up around 1:30ish, so half the day was gone. Chelsea and Taylor went to visit her brother in Placentia and Heidi & I stuck around the house IIRC.
  • Later that night (!), we four went to the Saloon's party and danced for literally 2+ hours straight due to some lovely folks DJing and making it a good time.
  • Considering that at this point, we were wasted, we went back to our house but stopped at Jack in the Box first and couldn't stop fucking giggling. It was, for some reason, an insanely funny trip.
  • Got home, had Bryan, Chad, Greg, and Ryan over, and then passed the fuck out.
  • Sunday - Heidi and I went with Wes and Mikey to LA to go to LACMA and see the Korean exhibition. It was incredible, I can't even go into detail. If you have access, go see it yourself - "Your Bright Future" is what it's all called (as well as one of the pieces) and it's fucking fantastic.
  • We went to Chinatown and ate at the restaurant where Rush Hour took place!
  • Got home, passed out.
Also, a note: looks like BeezyTalk IS happening this semester! We are indeed having a radio show and we'll be asking a few of our buds to hopefully stop back when in Orange and do some DJing. It'll be a wide-range of music variety but I promise, there'll be something for everyone and we've got a few tricks up our sleeves ;D

Short shooorts.

It's been one week since you looked at me...

So a little less than two weeks ago, Ryan had a pretty epic 90s house party. TONS of plaid, backwards hats, flannel, Nirvana, Barenaked Ladies & Eve 6, "Radical" and "Girl Power!," shin-length socks, high tops, Nintendo-playing, etc. It was fucking bomb. It was a much smaller party than Ryan's usual ones (this was on purpose); there were only like 15 people at any given time, which was helpful when it came time to find somewhere to pass out. In short, it was a great time with great people. When we do something, we go full throttle, kehkeh.

Oh, and I dressed as Daria. I neglected the green jacket because it was hot has hell, but I spoke with a monotone voice (though I can do a spot-on Sandy voice) for at least a little while. :P

Pyramid! On the bottom = Ron, Ryan, Manda. 2nd row = me, Toby. Top = Mike.

Ron, me, Manda, and Ryan duking it out.

Manda, Toby, me, Ron, and Ryan in Janice's room doing...crack or something.

FUCKING GOLDENEYE, AW YEAH.

Me and Manda starting a girl band! :D

Hire prostitutes. Pay in beatings.

Nathan just posted this to me. I LOL'd.

I sent this back:

I LOL at Advice Dog variations. Can't fucking help it.

I've had two conversations that made me LOL today. Well, more probably, but these are the two that stick out most. They're more funny to me, though, so I'm sure nobody else will giggle as hard as I.

I'm talking to Greg about Saturday:
Greg: i had an insane time last weekend
Me: I think I almost passed out on sad house lawn. i had no idea i had had that much to drink. david brought me back and i guess i passed out a sidewalk again
Greg: yeah we found your puke sunday morning. it looked really weird
Me: oh god.
Greg: its cool
Me: i forgot i threw up
Greg: yep, you were like "i need to throw up"
then you went on the lawn and did so, then you were there for a while
and me and niels were like
is sam ok? we should check on her
and just then david showed
Me: goddamnit

Goddamnit, go me. I have the alcohol tolerance of toddler. I need to stop that, probably.

Manda, Ryan, and I were driving in Ry's car earlier tonight. They were extremely high. It's about 11:30 pm. Manda turns to us and goes:
"GUYS, if we start driving now, we can get to the aquarium before they open."
So, for some odd reason, I yell:
"GUYS, if we start driving now, we can get to Michigan before it opens."
This made us giggle for like twenty minutes. Later when we were playing Guitar Hero at 2 am and Manda needed to use the bathroom 8 times. Ryan and I staged an intervention.

See? I hold them for you!

I leave on Sunday to go home. I packed my stuff up (INSANE amounts of boxes) with David and filled up his car. Kids here are so fucking spoiled and wasteful; they throw away (read: donate far less than throw away) so much stuff. Someone left a full length mirror in the parking structure while we were leaving so I took it. I'd rather take it and use it than have it go to some landfill. I separated all my stuff into recyclables and garbage carefully, and was pretty shocked at the lack of any organization in the actual trash room. Bullshittery. Stupid, careless. Anyways!

Eric gave me a metric ton of music and so I've been listening to dubstep while packing all day. And the Woods. "Broke" is probably my favorite song, but "Make Time For Kitty" is wonderful and makes me smile, too. I'm currently listening to Zomby. I dig it.

Undie Run was fucking fun. Heidi and I got ready and then met up with Nathan and Greg at Justin's apartment. There were quite a few people there and we all continued getting happy, then the four of us went and got stuff from my room, then Heidi's. Then we ran at midnight, went to the dance party, danced for a few hours, had a damn good time, went to Zac's at 4 am afterwards, hung out with Jesse and Alex, and left at 5:30 am. Super funsies.

Some of these are from my camera, but the nice ones are by Sarah Lee (found them via Facebook).

Heidi and I dancing (I'm in the orange). Some guy is trying to pick me up in a peculiar manner (the Force?).

Nathan carrying me :P He graduates tomorrow and that sort of bums me out. There are quite a few people I'll miss that are peacing out this year.
